I began working at VSC as an intern and became the company's resident Associate Director and Dramaturg. In this role, I had the opportunity to work on mainstage shows like A Christmas Carol and Peter and the Star Catcher collaborating on staging and assisting with equity casting out of New York. I also had the opportunity to work as a director and dramaturg on new adaptations like a feminist rock opera, A Taming of the Shrew, social justice oriented Oliver Twist, and The Tempest that combined opera and large scale puppets in partnership with the Virginia Symphony Orchestra. While in Norfolk, I also worked on a yearly immersive Shakespeare festival,' Midsummer Fantasy Festival.
